    Oh my goodness, that fig tart has me drooling–and I have figs in the crisper that I have locally sourced. I made a pizza last week, but was looking for a vegetarian option and I think I found it.
    Just the other day I read on Everyday Maven about roasted broccolini, so if I get some in the farm share I’ll give that a try.
    Have you tried pickling the peppers? I make a few pints worth, then we eat them on sandwiches. The other peppers I’ve chopped and frozen, or roasted and frozen, for winter use. Being in California that’s unnecessary for you, but here in Ohio there won’t be a box from Thanksgiving until May, so I’ve been a squirrel putting up food for winter lately.

    Today I’m linking up a Shaved Kohlrabi pizza, both a meat and a vegetarian version. I’ve also got a Fried Rice with Massaged Kale for a quick supper, and a Roasted Acorn and Butternut Squash with Corn recipe that can either be a side dish (leftovers reheat well, if you’re looking for something new for Thanksgiving) or throw in some smoked sausage bits and make it a main dish meal. Sure, I know the protein is unneeded to make it a main dish meal, but it *feels* more like a main dish if I have a bit of meat tossed in there. Either way, it’s delicious and a preview of fall to me.

      I have to be honest with you…I’m a wimp when it comes to pickling/canning, etc. I see folks link up recipes all the time, but I haven’t taken the plunge yet. Maybe this is the week I step outside of my comfort zone :)

  3. Heather, I see onions in your box! I have 3 onion recipes in my link, the one you must try is the bhajis, if you don’t mind deep-frying.
    Funny you should mention lemon basil, I have tons in my garden. I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with yours. Good luck with the new job!

    Congrats on the new job! Also, that is an amazing looking box of produce. I’m having Southern California Produce Envy (I get it weekly while listening to Good Food or any time I talk to friends from LA about what they’re cooking for dinner–it’s totally a thing).
